Wormwood

It is a perennial medicinal and spice plant with fibrous roots. The upper parts of the stems with inflorescences are suitable for use. Wormwood herb contains bitter substances from the group of sesquiterpene lactones, absinthin, at 0,20 to 0,28 %, is the main component of these bitter substances. This plant is claimed to have antifungal, neuroprotective, insecticidal, antimicrobial, anthelmintic, acaricidal, antimalarial, antidepressant, and hepatoprotective properties. It is an excellent seasoning for fatty meals and various drinks, a valuable herb for the home pharmacy. Wormwood herb is an ingredient in the spirit absinthe, and is used for flavouring in some other spirits and wines, including bitters and vermouth. As medicine, it is used for dyspepsia, as a bitter to counteract poor appetite, for various infectious diseases.

Garden thyme

Hyssop

The hyssop is perennial herbal plant. It blooms from July to September and has blue blooms. The blooms, raw (green) leaves and dried leaves are suitable to spice up dishes. Hyssop is also suitable to prepare tea.  The nectar from hyssop has the highest grade. Seeds are sown in early spring or in late autumn.

Cinnamon basil

Fenugreek

Arugula

The arugula grows 25–50 cm tall, it is annual leafy plant, grown outdoors, in boxes  and in balconies, also on windowsills. Leaves have a hot savoury taste, with nutty flavour. Suitable for adding flavour to salads, curd, cheeses, sauces, meat and flour dishes. Mature seeds are used as mustard seeds.

Sweet marjoram

This spice plant is annual. It can be sown in seed sprouters or greenhouses at the end of Mach. Sweet Marjoram can grow on the windowsill, in boxes (on the balcony) or in the terrace or furrows. Suitable for adding flavour to meat, fish, vegetable dishes as well as soups and sauces. Most commonly these spices are used to prepare dumplings.

Goldenberry Edulis

The annual plants grown outdoors and are planted by seedlings. Plants are approx. 40 cm tall and they grow many branches. Small fruits, weighing 4–5 g each, yellow with a tint of orange, sweetly sour, ripen in a shell. Can be used fresh or dried, also suitable for canning or for making jam.
